About Paulina Market
Paulina Meat Market is an old-school, traditional German butcher shop, located in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. Paulina Market offers a wide selection of excellent fresh meats, homemade sausages, frozen entrees, and much more.
Located at 3501 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60657, Paulina Market operates as a specialty food store serving Chicago in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as gourmet grocery store, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Chicago with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in Illinois may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.
The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 9 AMβ6 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Paulina Market at (773) 248-6272; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is paulinameatmarket.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 711 reviews, which is a strong result for a specialty food store in Chicago and suggests consistent service.
Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Traffic in Chicago peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

If you like German cold cuts like I do this is the place to go. Also, you can find Columbus steagall very good selection. Seasonal items abound.

The most selection at a butcher Iβve ever seen. WeiΓwurst, leberkΓ€se and pork stultz are amazing. The 1949 from the deli was one of the best sandwiches Iβve ever had as well. Their turkey with mayo and pickles was also insanely delicious being so simple. Canβt wait to come back!

Paulinas is exactly what a meat market should be: filled with knowledgeable guys who know meat and, well, filled with meat! But or just any meat. The very BEST meat you'll ever find. Everytime I visit, I'm taken back to when I'd visit the local butcher with my Mom. I've been taking my kids to Paulina since they were little and they experience exactly what I did. The selection of other market items is extensive and impressive. When you are looking for the very best, Paulina's is your answer.

I canβt recommend this place enough. Everything at the counter is delicious and all of their frozen items are top quality. The real kicker is the sandwiches just so tasty. If you have time to grab a sandwich for lunch, definitely do it. I will say know exactly what you want so you can tell the counter and not disrupt the fragile ecosystem of ordering. Itβs not hostile but it is a bit Seinfeld soup Nazi intimidating

I have to add my 5 stars hoping this helps them keep going. there are few places left in Chicago that keep me coming back, but the last 15 years these guys have been among the top. thank you for the great service, and definitely the great products. I've tried dried lamb and beef meet sticks from after places, but no one yet has perfected the process like the Paulina Market. I'm salivating as I write this. thank you so much!
